Microsoft Teams development & solutions

Teams is where your people already are. Make work happen there.

Your team spends the whole day in one window — then leaves it to chase approvals by email, fill forms on paper and hunt for reports in six tabs. We put apps, approvals and dashboards inside Microsoft Teams, and add the governance that keeps it from turning into 247 teams nobody owns.

Teams solutions, in depth

How we turn Teams from a chat app into your workplace

Teams as the front door

Adoption is automatic when the tool lives where people already look.

Every intranet, app and dashboard has the same enemy: nobody remembers to open it. So we stop asking them to. With Viva Connections your SharePoint intranet becomes an app inside Teams; Power Apps become pinned tabs; Power BI dashboards live in the channel where the conversation about them happens.

The result is one window for the whole workday — news, requests, approvals and numbers next to the chat your team never closes. No bookmarks, no "please visit the portal" emails, no adoption campaign.

  • Viva Connections — intranet news & links inside Teams
  • Power Apps pinned as tabs in the right channels
  • Approvals answered from the activity feed in one click
  • Dashboards where decisions get discussed, not in a portal

Governance & structure

Governance that prevents Teams sprawl — without banning anything.

Left alone, every Teams tenant grows the same way: a team per whim, "General" channels full of everything, three teams for the same project, guests from 2023 who still have access. The fix isn't locking creation down until people flee back to email — it's making the right structure the easy one.

We design who can create teams and how, build templates so a new project or client team arrives with the right channels, tabs and apps already in place, and set lifecycle policies that expire and archive what goes quiet — automatically, with an owner's confirmation.

  • Team creation policy — ownership required, purpose named
  • Templates for projects, clients & departments
  • Expiration & archiving that cleans up on schedule
  • Private channel rules & external/guest access controls

Before → after governance

247 teams nobody owns→ every team owned
New team = blank slate→ templated setup
Dead teams pile up forever→ auto-archived
Guests with standing access→ reviewed & expiring
Five naming conventions→ one standard
Custom development

Custom Teams development — when it's actually worth it.

Sometimes out-of-the-box isn't enough: you need a message extension that files a customer complaint into your CRM, an adaptive card that dispatches a field job with one tap, or a bot wired to your ERP through the Microsoft Graph API. We build those with Teams Toolkit — properly versioned, properly secured, properly handed over.

And we'll tell you honestly when you don't need custom code. If a standard Approvals flow, a Power Apps tab or a template solves it, that's what we'll recommend — custom development is the tool of last resort, not the default invoice line.

  • Teams Toolkit apps — tabs, bots & message extensions
  • Adaptive cards people act on without leaving chat
  • Graph API integrations with your business systems
  • Straight advice on when out-of-the-box beats custom

How it works

From first call to a Teams your whole company works in

Free audit call

30 minutes on how your team uses Teams today, what sprawls and what's missing. No obligation.

Usage & sprawl audit

We inventory teams, channels, owners, guests and app usage — and find where work leaves Teams and leaks time.

Design structure & solutions

Team architecture, templates, lifecycle policies and the apps, dashboards and bots worth building — reviewed with you.

Build & pilot

We build and pilot with one department, refine from real feedback, and prove the win before anything scales.

Roll out, train & govern

Team-by-team rollout with short role-based training, plus governance that keeps the tenant clean after we leave.

Case studies

Teams work that paid for itself

Professional services firm · 300 people

From 280 orphaned teams to a tenant that cleans itself.

Problem: Three years of unrestricted creation left 280+ teams — duplicates, no owners, guests with standing access and five naming conventions. Nobody could tell which team was the real one for a client.

We did: Full sprawl audit, archived the dead weight, introduced client and project templates with naming standards, assigned owners, and set expiration policies so inactive teams archive themselves.

100%teams with owners

Field services company · 140 people

Job dispatch by adaptive card, not phone tag.

Problem: Dispatchers assigned jobs by calling technicians, who confirmed by text and reported completion by photo-in-a-WhatsApp-group. Jobs fell through the cracks daily.

We did: Adaptive cards in Teams that dispatch each job with one-tap Accept, site details and a completion form — wired to their job system through the Graph API, with escalation if a card sits unaccepted.

Manufacturing group · 500 people

An HR bot that answers before HR opens email.

Problem: The four-person HR team drowned in the same questions — leave balances, payslip dates, policy lookups — averaging 60 repetitive emails a day with two-day response times.

We did: An HR helpdesk bot in Teams answering policy and leave questions instantly from the HR knowledge base, with clean escalation of the genuinely human cases to the HR channel.

Industries we serve

Different industries. Same "work leaves Teams" problem.

The chat is in Teams; the work is everywhere else — phone calls, paper forms, email chains, a WhatsApp group. Here's how we bring the work into the window each sector already has open.

Field services & dispatch

Job cards pushed to crews in Teams — one-tap accept, site details and completion forms without leaving the chat.

Professional services

Client team templates that arrive with the right channels, tabs and apps on day one — no blank-slate setup per engagement.

Manufacturing

Shift handover and andon alerts in channels, so the next shift starts informed and issues surface the minute they happen.

HR & internal comms

Helpdesk bots that answer policy questions before HR opens email, plus org-wide announcements people actually see.

Healthcare & clinics

On-call coordination and policy acknowledgment inside Teams — with the access walls compliance expects between roles.

Education & training

Cohort teams with lifecycle and archiving built in — every intake starts from a clean template and closes itself out.

FAQ

Microsoft Teams questions, answered

Do custom Teams apps need extra licenses?
Usually not. Teams is included in every Microsoft 365 Business and Enterprise plan, and most of what we build — Power Apps tabs, approvals, notification bots, adaptive cards — runs on the standard Power Platform rights bundled with those licenses. If a solution ever needs a premium connector or a per-app Power Apps license, we tell you the exact cost before we build, not after.
Can you stop Teams sprawl without locking people down?
Yes — sprawl is a design problem, not a discipline problem. Instead of blocking team creation, we give people templates for the team types they actually need (projects, clients, departments), add naming standards, assign owners, and set expiration policies that archive inactive teams automatically. People keep the freedom to create; the tenant stays clean on its own.
What are adaptive cards and why do they matter?
Adaptive cards are interactive messages inside Teams: an approval with Approve and Reject buttons, a job assignment with an Accept button, a form that submits without leaving the chat. They matter because people act on them in seconds — no switching to another app, no login, no hunting for a link. They are the difference between a notification people read and a workflow people complete.
Can Teams replace our intranet?
For many organizations, yes — with Viva Connections, your SharePoint intranet appears as an app inside Teams: news, policies, dashboards and links in the same window people already have open all day. You still build the intranet on SharePoint, but nobody has to remember to visit it. For companies where employees live in Teams, this is the highest-adoption intranet strategy there is.
How do you roll out Teams changes without disrupting work?
We never flip the whole tenant at once. New structure, templates and apps are piloted with one department first, refined from their feedback, then rolled out team by team with short, role-specific training. Existing teams keep working exactly as they are until their migration slot — most people notice the improvements before they notice any change.
Should every department get its own Team?
Not automatically — the structure that works follows how work happens, not the org chart. Some departments genuinely need one team; others need a team per project or per client, created from a template so each one starts with the right channels and tabs. We map your work types first and build a template for each — copying the org chart into Teams is how you end up with forty quiet teams while the real work hides in group chats.
Can you migrate us from Slack or another chat tool to Teams?
Yes. We map your existing channels to a clean Teams structure rather than copying the old sprawl one-to-one, recreate pinned content and key integrations, and run the cutover with clear comms and short training so nobody is left behind. One honest caveat: full message-history migration is limited — third-party tools can bring some history across, so we agree up front what must be preserved and archive the rest where it stays searchable.
